What are you into beside snowboarding ? Besides Snowboarding I am just about to finish my studies in Sportsmanagement at the University of Innsbruck. I am also the Smith Austrian Teamanager and last but not least I try to go surfing as much as I can in my freetime… Lovin it

Something that was hard to overcome in your career (for
example, bad nerves for competitions)?
I have never had a really bad moment or things to overcome like an injury that took me away from my sport longer than 3 weeks… But I can imagine that it can be very hard to come back again and try again from zero and  to proof, that you are still on top…. I hope it will never happen to me.

Advice to the rookie girls coming up? Don´t take it too serious, it´s just snowboarding…. And never forget about the fun you should have!

How do you imagine a pro surfers/snowboarders life? I imagine a pro surfers life to be an amazing adventure. Being at Fiji, Hawaii, Australia…etc with warm temperature all over the year, having an endless summer, must be incredible. But I guess that it is not always as simple as people would think. As our sport seems to be a dream job for everybody else, I can imagine that being a surf pro can also be very tough. Its good times and its hard times. As every job! But we live our passion, so of cpourse I would never complain!

Are you practising your sport the whole year through or do you need to have a break? I would not be able to snowboard all year through. I really need a break after the season. It´ss such a pleasure to feel some sun on your skin after wearing snowboard clothes for a couple of months. I love surfing, and I really don’t want to miss it in summer. It refills my energy and when it gets colder in november, I cant wait for the first snow again. I get so motivated…

Do you also surf?  Yes , I love longboarding

How do you plan your season? When is your season starting/ending? I start planning my season just before the winter is starting. When the schedule of the Freeride World Tour comes out, I put it in my timetable with first priority. Then I have a look how much space I have between the events to organize some individual trips for photo and filmshootings.

The season normally ends in April / Mai…. Then it depends if you want to ride at the claciers which I actually don’t like too much…So I rather plan my summer and some surftrips…

What do you like the best on your sport? I love to be alone on the mountains with my friends when its heavily dumping, the tourists are gone and the only possibility to ride is in the trees. There is no pressure with competitions or producing some good imagery…its just about riding with your friends and enjoying snowboarding!

Those are the best days! And they can make you so happy!

Could you imagine to be a pro surfer? If you could choose, what would you rather be? I love both, but I guess I would chose being a surf pro. You don’t have to deal with minus 25 ° C …haha

Do you think ist easier to be a pro snowboarder/surfer? It might be easier to start surfing as the snowboard material and lifttickets, accommodation etc. is really expensive nowadays. But you need to be patient, you need to have talent and you need to have parents that support you 100%. So with boths sports I guess its just not easy….

Words to live by.....? Move your ass and your mind will follow!

Danke Aline! Wir wünschen Dir von Herzen eine bomben saison 2009/2010!!!!!
